How did you discover Riki Dalal?
After visiting three wedding dress shops, it was the second shop the dressing rooms Birmingham that posted on social media about the new range NOYA they had coming in. I loved what I saw immediately booked a return visit!
Tell us about your boutique experience?
It was beautiful! The staff couldn’t do enough for us, we were offered drinks on arrival and shop itself was stunning. Do you know when something just feels right, I got an exciting feel right away! I loved that the staff were honest with me if the dress I tried wasn’t flattering, but with the Riki dalal dresses it was difficult as they were all stunning.
What made you choose the dress you chose and what was your favorite thing about the dress?
I was getting married in Santorini so the main thing for me was for it to be very bridal, but nice and cool! I wanted something different, something I’d been seeing on the internet but couldn’t seem to get my hands on. The day I chose my dress I only tried one two of the NOYA range and it was the second one that was the showstopper. It looked bright white, with a hint of sparkle, but very classy. It fitted my body shape perfect and it was young without being too revealing. On the back of my dress the detailing reminded me of wings. It was the perfect fairytale dress and ticked all the boxes.
How did you feel when you first tried on the dress & how did you know it was "the one"?
I knew right away, I cried! It made me feel a million dollars, and just what I had dreamed of. I couldn’t get over it, I kept spinning and eyeing up the back in the mirror, then once my mom was crying, I knew it was the one. She said ‘you won’t find better than that, that’s your dress!’
Tell us all about your wedding day!
From start to finish our wedding day in Santorini at Le Ciel was perfect! As I woke up on the 5th July, the sun was shining, and I remember saying to my sister ‘There isn’t a cloud in the sky’ As I did all final touches, makeup and fastening my jewelry, I stepped down the steps from our room at El Greco and all of the poolside clapped and cheered as I climbed in the 1957 classic Porsche , it was such an overwhelming moment. "I do films" filmed us via drone and captured the whole things perfectly, when I look back it makes me cry every time and our friends and family always comment how beautiful it is. When we arrived at the Le Ciel George Ventouris our photographer was waiting for us, and started snapping away immediately, we have some beautiful photos, we will treasure forever. He took us to some of his favorite scenic spots, one just a short drive up the hill from Le Ciel and captured us outside a church. Memories we will cherish forever. Le Ciel, and our wedding planners Lila and Eleni got everything on point and to perfection. I used a company in England called perfect weddings abroad, and all the emails were quick, and stress free. Lila put my mind to rest the minute I met her, as she reassured me that there was no need to stress as she had everything under control. And they did!!! The timings, the music, the arrangements, the flowers! We had drinks for the wedding party whilst we waited for the start of the wedding, and the guests had drinks offered also. We also purchased a drinks package through the day and night which was fantastic service, as the waiters never let anyone’s drink run out. The food was to die for! The best wedding food they had has some of our family and friends commented. And not to mention the cake Lila had arranged was out of this world. Bigger and more fairytale than I imagined and as I walked into the venue my sister said ‘have you seen your cake?’ and gasped ‘wow, is that our cake’ We had sparklers to see in our first dance, and fountains too, the timing of the music was always on time never was there any awkward silences or delays. After dancing, we arranged two Greek dancers to come for entertainment. They helped get everyone involved and put everyone in good spirits, these were one of my favorite things. We have returned back to Santorini since 2018, in 2019 and it bought back all these happy memories and made us realize why we chose Santorini. There’s something very special and unique about it there and I think I will fall in love with it every time we return.
